Papelbon has been fined 10,00 Grand on 2 separate occasions he was fined $5,000 which added up to the $10,000. He was fined because he was not following the new pitching speed laws so MLB charged him the $5,000 fines. Hopefully Papelbon will follow the rules and not lose more money. Thanks to ESPN.com MLB.

Cubs are in the lead
Cubs are leading the NL central after beating Cincinati. This is the first time since April. The picher for the Cubs was Rich Harden who did so well the evan the great manager Lou Piniella said he did good. He was supposed to be starting Monday night but since Ted Lilly got hurt and was on the d-list Piniella had to start him a day early. But for being started a day earlier that expected he did amazing. Harden had only one homer and the rest of the guys were struck out, he only allowed one hit each inning. This is a pitcher dream to have only one run scored off you and strike ot many great batters. Thank you to cbssports.com for the info.

Hall of famer has solution
If you know baseball you have heard of Hank Aron. You know he is a King of Homeruns. Well he has an idea for Mark Mcguire and Barry Bonds. You probably know that these men have used steriods. As a result a lot of feats that they have done, for example how Barry Bonds had beat Babe Ruth's homerun title then was caught using roids and was told that he didn't get the title. Also Mcguire had hit 70 homers in one season was also caught with roids and lost the respect. Well back to the story. Hank had an idea that they should have an asturisk(*) next to their names. A lot of the other hall of famers just say don't let them in. Aron said that he would not be surprised if his freinds didn't let them in. Hopefuly if they hear this idea the other famers will agree with it, because even though they used roids they still were great baseball players and deserve. Thank you to Foxsports.com for the info on this story.

If any more get hurt i don't know where the Phillies will get their players. this story was brought up to me by cbssports.com.
buehrle has a perfect game saved by Wise
Buehrle had a perfect game against the Rays. He was pitching a perfect game until his pitch broke in and was hammered. It flew to center it would have been a homerun if the centerfielder Dewayne Wise didn't jump above the wall. Now here is what made this a miracle catch, he had caught it, but then on the way down he dropped it. He dove and caught it inches above the ground. that is the miracle catch that saved the perfect game of Buehrle. The information came from ESPN.com-MLB

Mr. Kemprowski from Jackson NJ got his hand horribly cut when working at the Yankees new Stadium. He was using an electric hand saw when it kicked back at him and cut his wrist down to the bone. His case was filed in the supreme court in the Bronxe. He said the accident was caused because the saws were did not have the safety guard that prevented the saw from duing what it did. His friends on the construction team notified him that the day after he got hurt the saws were fixed and then were given the guards. He though is not the only one who gotten hurt. Donald Hyde was driving a forklift as he was directed under a beam. The said beam was to low for the forklif to fit and as a result crushing his hand. and Peter Mcgeough got a concrete pillars fell on him and hurt his back and neck. NCAA suspends use of composite bats
At the end of the Tennessee and Vanderbilt final games an issue aroused when volunteers were able to hit easy homeruns at amazing speeds. Tennessee was acused of using the bats as an easy way to win and beat Vanderbilt. There was a conference call by the sec tournament council and the mainly focoused on this ubsetting concept. This also was brought up when another team in the final four was suspected of using "hot bats." the reason they were suspected was because they were able to hit homeruns that should have been short popups. this is an upsetting story because it shows how far players and coaches go to win. thanks to Russel Branyons big homer in the eighth inning helped the mariners beat the tigers. He had 1 ball on him no strikes and he gets a hold of the ball on the sweet spot and takes it all the way. Hernandez pitched 7 inings with 8 strikeout and only 6 hits. Lowe pitched a an outstanding eighth. And the games was ended by Aardsma. But on the tigers side Galarraga was able to keep pace with Hernandez with 1 run in 7 innings. He was replaced by Seay in the eighth. thankyou to boston.com for all of my info.
Coras turn for injury rehabilitation
Tuesday Cora was taken of the lineup after playing in place of Jose Reyes. He has been playing many games with a torn legament in his thumb. Well tuesday that came to haunt him as he was actualy wincing in pain. The manager Jerry Manuel decided to put in Angel Boras to play shortstop. I guess you could say that Cora gets to take a trip to Florida like the rest of his experienced teammates to rest his thumb and get the attention he needs. The reason i wanted to talk a bout this story was because that he had been batting outstandingly play great and virtualy leading his young teammates because he was one of the few veterans left on the team. Now the team gets to play with 1 less veteran. They will have to fight harder and work as a team to have a chance against teams with more experienced playes. The only bright side is that the rookies will get more expirience. The info was aquired at nytimes.com.
Taylor Mattingly charged
Taylor Mattingly was charged in court after he got mad at his mom shoved her then spit in her face. Now i bet some of you are thinking what can make someone do this to someone let a lone his mom? What set this man off was an insulting text message sent by his mom. He showed up at court to see what the judge would say and expressed intrest in a pretrial diversion program. The judge accepted this and put off the judgement so he could do so. The case will be picked up again on september 10. The info was found on ESPN.com-MLB
Phillidalphia loses and the streak is over
If you are a Philly fan you were watching today where the Phillies 10 game steak came an abrupt stop. The Phillies where beal 10-5 by the Cubs today at their home field. But if you don't care for the Phillies you have to admit that is a good streak. Now the world is not ending but if you are a major philly fan you would feel like it. They have acomplished a feat not acomplished by a defending champ since 1971. This just proves that when a teams pulls together you can do anything. The information for this blog was found on philly.com phillies.
Manny benched
The great Manny Ramirez was benched because of a hurt hand. In a game against the Reds he was hit in the hand by a pitch. He had a bobblehead being given out, stadium filled, plus hundreds of people who saw him get hit who wanted to see if he was alright. He was scratched off the lineup as a precaution so the hand wouldn't get hurt again. He told the coach that he could not be in the lineup for his hands sake. But may you breathe a sigh of relief that his x-ray was negative and will return when he and his trainer feel it is safe for him to return, lets hope that it is soonner than later. I got my info from ESPN.com-MLB.
